It was a star-studded night celebrating a significant milestone for both actress Mariska Hargitay and TV series: Law & Order.
NBC’s Law & Order TV series celebrated its 400th episode Wednesday night at a special, TV Guide Magazine event honoring lead actress, Mariska Hargitay. The red carpet affair took place on the top floor of the gorgeousGansevoort Park Avenue, in New York City. The show, which has been running for 18 seasons now, has created quite the following of loyal fans and is certainly a testament to what constitutes great TV. Marissa looked fabulous at the event, donning a black dress with black lace details, lightly tousled waves, and natural makeup. She was accompanied by her husband, actor Peter Hermann.
It was a star-studded event. Many actors and actresses got their start by appearing on the TV series, a reputation of the show that continues to ring true. Harry Connick Jr., Peter Gallagher, and Dean Winters were among the many who stopped by to show support for Dick Wolf and Mariska.
During the event, creator Dick Wolf addressed the audience stating, “It’s hard to believe the number of people who have been part of this show. It is a dream come true for me to have what is really a family in this city doing this show.”
The family vibe Wolf noted was palpable. Hargitay’s own speech was emotional and whole-hearted, as she expressed gratitude to Dick Wolf and to TV Guide for their support and guidance. She was visibly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and encouragement from staff of the show, the network, and the fans.
As a board member of the Federal Enforcement Homeland Security Foundation (FEHSF), where we proudly celebrated Dick Wolf's Lifetime Achievement Award in May of 2016, I was thrilled to catch up with one of television’s most altruistic and iconic producers at the event!
